A really really nice stay for one night. Particularly good location, beautiful and bright rooms with a great view and tatami mats and bathroom inside. Location near train station, stores and restaurants as well as the cable car and ropeway. Outstanding food in the in-house restaurant in the vicinity. Selection of tapas and pizza at the in-house bar.

    kind staff
    relaxing onsen
    thin futons

The staff were so kind and helpful. The onsen was a real treat. The only downside was the futons, a bit too thin for my liking. Wish I could've stayed longer!

    onsen experience
    rooftop terrace
    shower discomfort

The onsen on site provided a unique experience, letting you soak away the day's troubles in those hot springs. The rooftop terrace offered a nice spot to chill out and enjoy a bit of fresh air.

The mixed-gender showers felt dark and dingy, giving an unsettling vibe, especially for travelers seeking privacy. With limited toilets and showers, we faced some serious waiting times when the place was crowded. Climbing multiple flights of steep steps to access facilities was definitely a hassle, particularly late at night. Food was pricey and not exactly excellent, lacking the quality you might expect for the cost.

Many things to mention - everything was perfectly clean, great food, incredibly beautiful views. The cafe served a wide array of meals for breakfast. We stayed in the triple room, it was beautiful and the bed was comfortable. The staff was excellent, best, and everything was really good.

    leaky plumbing
    dusty floors

Room cleanliness needs a serious upgrade!!! Dusty tatami floors and leaky plumbing took away from the experience. The location is convenient for transportation, but everything felt a bit rough around the edges!!!

    fabulous staff

    Family with children delight!

The staff were Very nice! They even made a reservation for us at a restaurant, and I swear, the food was good. My boys couldn't get enough of the private onsen, they kept saying it was like being in a real-life adventure!

It wasn't exactly a bargain, but you know what, totally acceptable for the experience we had.

    great dining experience
    thin futons

The in-house restaurant offered excellent and affordable dishes, we had a good dining experience.

The rooms felt a bit dated with thin futons, which may impact comfort for those used to thicker mattresses.

    inconvenient access

Onsen Guesthouse Hakone Tent was a highlight of our trip! The location is perfect, just a short walk from Gora station. The onsen experience was genuinely relaxing with private baths available, and we loved the traditional Japanese-style twin room with tatami flooring. The kitchen was super convenient for preparing meals.

Accessing toilets and showers can be a bit of a hassle.
